THE BREAKING DAWN OF INDIAN POLITICS

I came across this quote from our Information and Broadcasting Minister, Mr. Manish Tewary, “We have a young leader in Rahul Gandhi who the youth identifies and empathizes with”. This is such a laughable statement. This shows the congress ministers are living in a cocoon totally unaware of the ground reality. Apart from some comic gimmicks like visiting some poor families, what other experience and credentials does Mr. Gandhi have? I have not read a single comment from a reader in so many news articles on politics where someone actually supports Rahul Gandhi.
No experience in handling a local government let alone by a ministry. No educational or professional qualifications to boast on, no leadership qualities, and they see a PM candidate in him. Indeed a lackluster as observed by a US embassy cable leaked on wikileaks.
National Shame or Guiness world Record?
In a nation that believes talent can be inherited, you will see some bizarre things. Things which would considered a shame in other nations are considered world records here in India.
For e-g- it is given that Nehru- Gandhi family members inherit all the required qualifications for ruling this nation forever, till a new dynasty takes over. We had Mughal Empire, then we had British Empire, and now we have Nehru Gandhi Empire. Soon the daughters and sons of Rahul and Priyanka will stake claim for the throne of India and Indian people will elect them to power.
I shall totally pity our country if Rahul Gandhi ever become even a minister. If Indian youth are looking at Mr. Rahul Gandhi as a role model, I can only sympathize with them. I can only say our youth are not yet educated.
Congress promised to eliminate poverty 35 years back. I am referring to the “Garibi Hatao” election call during reign of Mrs. Indira Gandhi which was later used by her son, Rajiv Gandhi. The poor of India kept filling their ballot boxes, and now it’s evident that they have failed and they have directly accepted that they can’t remove poverty.
Look minutely whenever Congress is faced with a challenge-whether its corruption, price rise, directives, International Legal issue, a minister being jailed, or the rape of girls-they don’t answer people. Rightly said by Mr. Narendra Modi, “The moment there is a crisis, they wear a burqa and hide inside a bunker.
India lost its respect in the international stage when by the way Commonwealth games were organized. “A small country like south Korea hosted the Olympics and got international appreciation. But we made fun of ourselves in organizing a small event like the Commonwealth games. One country uses sports to bring laurels to itself, another brings its dishonor.
Since the period of Rajiv Gandhi we have been hearing to take India into the 21st century. Our ears have got tired hearing the same thing since last couple of decades. But never did anybody from Congress had a vision of how to take India into the 21st Century. If anybody had a vision, we would not be standing where we stand now.
The loudest and most oft-chanted pseudo-secular hymn in India is that Narendra Modi is communal and anti-Muslim. Even those with no basic depth in politics or current affairs just go around repeating this.
It essentially involves repeating a lie again and again so often that people tends to believe it a truth. Congress have invested so much into this hymn that it is almost impossible to believe that Modi is actually a truly secular leader.
So, How exactly is Narendra Modi NOT-Anti Muslim?
To start with the votes, in 2012 elections, 31% of Muslims of Gujarat voted for Modi. By 2013 election Modi had done a clean sweep of 6 out of 6 seats that were held by Congress. Could he have done it without the local Muslim’s support? Similarly Gujarat has 8 Muslim majority MLA seats. Six of them were won by BJP. Can anyone think that was possible without active Muslim electoral support of Modi’s team?
The fact is that during the past six decades of well documented history of Independent India, the ONLY communal-riot free 10 Year period in Gujarat was under Narendra Modi’s rule.
Kerala’s VV Augustin, member of National Minority Commission during his visit to Gujarat said “I have travelled across states. In Gujarat there are rich Muslims and poor Muslims. But the status of poor Muslims has improved during the BJP rule. Muslims in Gujarat are much happier and safer”.
Circling back to the six major communal riots that Gujarat has seen, Congress was directly or via allies in power during 1969, 1987, 1989, 1990 and 1992 riots. Crores of rupees worth of property of Muslims were looted. Thousands of Muslims were killed. Forget charge sheets, even no FIRs exists on records today. But for 2002 riots, under BJP Govt., more than 200 Hindus were arrested and more than 150 are serving life sentences. See the difference. Do you still think, Modi’s Govt is Anti-Muslim and the previous ones were Pro-Muslims?
And for those who parade the 2002 riots as Anti- Muslim, BJP State policy, did you ever question the  1964 Bihar, 1969 Gujarat (Ahmedabad), 1980 UP (Moradabad), 1983 Assam (Nellie), 1989 Bihar (Bhagalpur) or 1993 Maharashtra (Mumbai) riots? All these unfortunately had more Muslim deaths than the 2002 Gujarat riot. All those happened under Congress Government.
Who can forget the 1984 Sikh slaughter in Delhi? The then PM, Rajiv Gandhi brushed off the huge death toll with his infamous ‘big tree falls’ shameful speech. Why did no Human Rights Group ever speak against the Congress leader?
What they don’t tell is- During the Sabarmati Riverfront Project, 13000 families got displaced. But every one of them was provided with an apartment as promised. Modi didn't discriminate on the based on religion when rehabilitating the citizens. Gujarat’s Haj quota is 3500. But by now 41,000 applications are already in place. Traditionally people go to Haj only when they can afford it themselves, not via loans. This shows how Guajaratis have become financially well off.
Lets have a glance at statistics. 10% of total population of Gujarat are Muslims. But 18% of RTO registrations for two wheelers are by Muslims. 12% of the police in Gujarat are Muslims. 11% of Govt. jobs are held by Muslims. They are much more financially well off than they ever were in the history since 1947.
It is futile to keep falling victim to the propaganda that Narendra Modi is Anti- Muslim.
2014 Lok Sabha Elections
2014 Lok Sabha elections will be remembered in future as the most important election at least for the first half of this century. The people who guided India into a democratic society were brilliant and incorruptible. They knew what is freedom and the cost India has paid to achieve it. Our biggest achievement in the last 65 years is all the Govt which has been selected in State or Central were democratically elected Governments. The election process may be flawed but we have managed to stage elections and abeleif in electoral process has been installed. Except this we have failed on every other asspect of democracy.
The biggest problem is not the religious extremism but the rise and complete hold of Monarchy system inside the functioning of political parties. It like a family run business firm which is accepted on public forum and media. Rahul Gandhi will NOT be promoted as the leader of Congress in 2014 election.Because of the failure of Young Gandhi to garner votes in Bihar & TN, his chances are next to zero. Pranab Mukherjee who could have been one of the best bet for PM candidacy was sidelined by giving him the presidential post. This brings P Chidambaram into picture who will be thorn in flesh of Rahul Gandhi's future plans. Meanwhile Mr. Gandhi can learn and increase his experience. Team Anna can certainly play a role as a third front. The major problem with this team is their vulnerability. A third front is a must for 2014 elections and if it will not happen, it will be manufactured.
2014 Elections will definitely be a turning point for Indian democracy and India. Fingers Crossed.
